But, without further ado, here is a little more About Me

I’m Dan McDaniel, and I write books that help people achieve their goals.

It’s been a beautiful journey to get to this point, but my path wasn’t always so clear. This is my story…

“At age 19, I walked away from over $100,000 in scholarships and grants to become a professional writer.”

Five years ago, I walked away from 15 University scholarships to follow my bliss. Some of the funding institutions included the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, AXA Equitable, and JP Morgan Chase.

“If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it’s not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That’s why it’s your path.” -Joseph Campbell

I wanted to be a financial advisor—like Suze Orman!

I had it all planned out, step by step.

I even had a list of summer internships for which to apply (on Wall Street, of course!).

But this wasn’t my path.

“We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” Joseph Campbell

Every time I stepped into a classroom, every time I walked into the workplace… I felt dead inside.

“Is this it?” I wondered.

Learning shit I’ve already forgotten (What’s a quadratic equation, again?) Working for a company that only cares about profit. Climbing the corporate ladder.

“Is this it?” I continued to ponder. “Is this what I’ve worked so hard for? Is this what I’ve aspired to become? Is this the ‘American Dream’ that I’ve been sold?

This sucks. There has to be more to life than this.”

This realization sent me on a journey.

I began asking questions like…

Who am I? Why am I here? What am I truly capable of? What do I really want?

At the mercy of my spirit, I went away for six months. I quit my job, took a hiatus from school, and dedicated half a year to reflection.

Relocated in a new city, I immersed myself into six months of self-study. Six months of self-examination. Six months… of solitude.

After those six months, I had connected the dots. I had awakened to my purpose. I had discovered exactly who I am and exactly why I am here.

I am an unlimited force of energy, a bubbling ball of potential, an authentic observer of consciousness, born to inform, to inspire, to uplift, and to illuminate the world with my inner light.

That’s who I am. Who are you?

Join me on this journey. Let me help you discover who you really are and

Create the life you want.
